As an educator and scientist, I aim to spread the love of science and make sure that underrepresented STEM populations can discover science and not be diverted from their academic aspirations by social obstacles. As a first-generation female college student, I understand how challenging and inequitable the academic environment can be. Thus, I am dedicated to creating an environment more inviting towards underrepresented minorities, women, and socioeconomically underprivileged students, which I will continue to work towards in my future roles.
